Women’s Council Hosts Graduation Brunch for Scholars

Congratulations to the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy scholars who graduated in May as members of the University of Mississippi Class of 2023! The members of the Women’s Council celebrated all the senior scholars during our annual graduation brunch held before commencement, along with other OMWC scholars, council members, mentors, and parents.

Bradley Brantley, from Jackson, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Jennie Mosby Cochran Council Scholarship and the Elizabeth Brevard Council Scholarship. He graduated with a double degree in management information systems and Chinese through the Chinese Flagship Program.

Gray duPerier, from Oxford, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto County Council Scholarship and the Barbara Caperton Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in psychology and a minor in society and health.

Hailey Ellis, from Olive Branch, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Lindsay McCauley Kirkley Clemons Council Scholarship and the Rachel McPherson Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in public policy leadership and minors in history and political science.

Millie Eubanks, from Water Valley, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Gertrude Hudson Turner Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on manufacturing.

Amyaha Graham, from Clarksdale, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Sarah Meisenheimer Council Scholarship and the Marjorie Wallace Peddle Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in accounting and a minor in criminal justice.

Mary Patton Murphy, from Jackson, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Mary Sharp Rayner Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in English.

Emelia O’Neill, from Smithton, Illinois, was the recipient of the Donna Ruth Else Roberts Council Scholarship and the Oxford Business Women’s Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in banking and finance.

Shelby Phillips, from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Asbury Foundation Council Scholarship and the Vicki L. and Harry Sneed Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in elementary education.

Mary Lathan Pittman, from Batesville, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Madison Charitable Foundation Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in biology.

Shelby Sledge, from Amory, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Lillian Graham Carson Memorial Council Scholarship and the Paula Salter Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in general business and a minor in chemistry.

Samantha “Sam” Turner, from Starkville, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Catherine “Kitty” Bryan Dill Memorial Council Scholarship and the Susan Barksdale Howorth Council Scholarship. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on acting for the stage and screen.

Casiah Watson, from Jackson, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Prescott Alden Sherman Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in computer science.

Jordyn Wyms, from Tupelo, Mississippi, was the recipient of the Mildred H. Center Council Scholarship. She graduated with a degree in allied health studies and a minor in psychology.
