Dr. Cockrell Stuart is the current program manager of the Ole Miss Women’s Council. She came to The University of Mississippi in 2007 and served as  the Assistant Director of Employer Services in the Career Center until August 2018. Dr. Cockrell Stuart is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Higher Education Administration and adjunct faculty in the School of Business. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree from The University of Southern Mississippi where she studied student retention, mentoring relationships and successful transitions in academic life.  These research interests inspire her work today where she feels that moving from life as a student to a new professional involves learning a number of successful transition and leadership strategies.

Outside of work, Dr. Cockrell Stuart and her husband enjoy getting to be big kids while they discover the world with their 4-year-old son, Buckner.
